You'll receive a tasting box directly from Beecher's Cheese with three hand-selected Beecher's cheeses and Beecher's crackers. From Copperworks, you'll receive 100ml bottles of our newest whiskey release (R039) and our limited-edition Plum Gin

About your hosts:

Brian Gilbert, ACS CCP, CCSE - Head Cheesemonger - Beecher's Handmade Cheese

Brian Gilbert is a lifelong entrepreneur and food and restaurant industry veteran. He is one of only a select few cheese professionals in the world and in Washington state who is both a Certified Cheese Professional (CCP) and Certified Cheese Sensory Evaluator (CCSE). He is currently the Head Cheesemonger at Beecher’s Handmade Cheese in Pike Place Market, the heart of Seattle’s food culture, while he builds his newest and perhaps most personal venture yet, Gilbert’s Cheese Experience. Brian’s passions are building community, creating new experiences and sharing his knowledge and love for food, which inspire and drive everything he does. Brian is an active member and supporter of the professional cheese community and works closely with national, regional and local organizations including the American Cheese Society, the Washington State Cheesemakers Association, the Washington Dairy Association and the BC Artisan Cheesemakers Association. He is a frequent speaker on making, procuring and pairing cheese, Northwest and Washington cheeses, local and sustainable food ecosystems, and leadership.

Jason Parker - President and Co-Founder - Copperworks Distilling Company

Jason Parker is Co-Founder and President of Copperworks Distilling Company, a craft distillery located on the downtown Seattle waterfront. Jason began his career in the alcohol industry in 1989 by working as the first brewer for Pike Place Brewery (now Pike Brewing Company). He went on to refine his craft with Fish Brewing Company in Olympia, Redhook Brewery in Fremont, and Pyramid Breweries in Seattle, where he worked for seven years, ending as Brewmaster. In 2009, Jason recognized that the burgeoning craft distilled spirits industry was modeling the craft beer industry's trajectory of 25 years before. Opportunity lured him back to the alcohol industry to launch Copperworks with his friend and home-brewing partner Micah Nutt.

Tax Information:
WA State Address pricing option includes applicable sales taxes, the 20.5% WA State Spirits Tax, and the $3.7708 per liter WA State Spirits Liter Tax.

KY Tax Information:
Shipments to Kentucky: 6% KY Sales Tax, 11% KY Wholesale Tax, and $1.92 per gallon KY Excise Tax will be added at checkout for the portion of the product attributable to the 100ml spirit bottles.
